General questions about La Bougie Herbivore
To which countries does La Bougie Herbivore deliver?
Our products are delivered to all countries in Europe, as well as to the French Overseas Territories. However, we do not deliver to the rest of the world!
Are La Bougie Herbivore products dangerous for pregnant women?
All our ranges of candles, melts and diffusers are designed to be as ecological and natural as possible. Plus, none of our products contain essential oils, so there is no problem for pregnant women! On the other hand, we would still like to remind you that a candle or any other product that diffuses perfume remains dangerous, especially if it is misused.
You must therefore respect the warnings on the product labels, then ensure that you put them in a sufficiently spacious room and ventilate well after use, in order to avoid any risk of poisoning!

Questions about La Bougie Herbivore scented natural candles
Where are La Bougie Herbivore artisanal candles made?
Our scented candles are all created in France, where we make them with care and love, just like our perfume diffusers.
What exactly do La Bougie Herbivore scented candles contain?
Each candle is made from natural, vegan and biodegradable soy wax. We add Grasse perfumes, healthy and safe for health, recognized for their high quality: and that’s it! There are no toxic products, no CMR or GMO, no paraffin (which is a petroleum derivative), no harmful and allergenic perfumes. In addition, our wicks are made of cotton and guaranteed lead-free! Our artisanal candles are therefore vegan, recyclable and eco-responsible.
How long can I burn my La Bougie Herbivore candle?
You can burn your candle between 2 hours and 4 hours maximum. Don't forget to ventilate the room well after burning and regularly ensure that the wick remains straight (to prevent it from blackening the edges of the pot). Please note, always be careful when handling one of our glass jars after combustion, they can be hot!
My candle burns too quickly or smokes when burning, what should I do?
To avoid these phenomena which occur frequently, cut the wick of your candle before each use. You must leave approximately 5 mm to 1 cm maximum of wick protruding for better combustion. In fact, when the wick is too high, it burns out very quickly and that’s when it can cause black smoke!
Can I reuse the glass containers when my candles are finished?
You can of course reuse our amber glass jars, we highly recommend it even! To do this, simply clean the leftover wax by rinsing the jar with hot water. Don't forget to remove the metal wick holder from the bottom of the container, dry it, and then reuse it endlessly! You can use them as you wish: as vases, pencil holders, containers…
Questions about La Bougie Herbivore fragrance diffusers
What are La Bougie Herbivore perfume diffusers made of?
Our perfume diffusers are handcrafted in France, with an alcohol-free blend and quality Grasse perfumes. The 7 rods supplied with the diffuser are made of rattan, and therefore 100% natural and biodegradable.
How does a reed diffuser work?
To use a perfume diffuser, it’s very simple. If you want a rather gentle room fragrance, simply immerse 3 to 4 rattan stems in the glass container of the diffuser. For a more pronounced scent, you simply have to arrange all your sticks in your diffuser. Then all you have to do is let the fragrance of your choice deliciously scent your room every day!
How long does a La Bougie Herbivore diffuser last?
The diffusion time of our stem scent diffusers varies from 2 to 3 months depending on the ranges, the size of the room and of course the speed of absorption of the rattan stems. You therefore have peace of mind for at least 8 weeks. However, if you want the scents to last longer, you can keep your fragrance diffuser as far away as possible from heat sources which could dry out the sticks.
Questions about La Bougie Herbivore fumigation sticks
Are fumigation sticks recommended for everyone?
Even if fumigation sticks are made from dried plants, they are still dangerous for certain categories of people. They are not recommended for pregnant women, babies and children, as well as people with asthma. We also recommend that you be careful about their use in the presence of your animals ( especially since the latter have a much more developed sense of smell than ours)!
We therefore generally advise you to be careful when using our fumigation sticks and to ventilate the room well after use!
